When Gasparé Indelicato immigrated from
a small village in Italy to California it was only natural that
he would do the one thing he knew he could do better than anything
else.
His father, grandfather, and several
generations before them grew wine grapes, and that would be
the life for him. He planted the first grapes for Delicato Family
Vineyards in the spring of 1924.
The second generation inherited a commitment
to quality, building a tradition as a leading supplier to other
wineries. As a trusted provider of fine California wines, Delicato
Family Vineyards gained the name by which it is still referred
within the industry
"The Winemaker's Winemaker."
